Back Porch Finish Notes publishes guides and takes no enquiries, which this page exists to say plainly.

Guides, Not Services

The guides explain interior painting work; they do not provide it. Anyone wanting the work carried out needs a contractor, which this site is not.

Accuracy Over Time

Content is revised when it goes out of date. Accuracy is the only thing a reference site has to offer, and a page out of date on a code requirement is worse than no page at all.

Finding a Contractor

For finding a contractor, the reliable approach has not changed. Put the same written specification to every firm, so the prices that come back are actually comparable.
